Clearwater Beach is not the only beach in Clearwater! But I must qualify that statement. This little beach I am showing you now is just that... LITTLE. Compared to the miles of sand that are Clearwater Beach, I doubt this beach even has a mile of sand. And sadly, it is not of the fine powdery variety like Clearwater Beach. BUT it is a beach just the same.
The main road across Tampa Bay, from Clearwater to Tampa, is the Courtenay Campbell Causeway. It can be both a beautiful, scenic drive, and it can be a very trying drive. It really just depends on the traffic, and your state of mind. This beach tends to be somewhat quiet a lot of days, though not always. It is also much more convenient for many people to get to. However... parking is a bit stiff. But more on that later.
In this picture, we are looking East, and the air is so clear that you can see Tampa in the far distance, as well as the center span of the Howard Franklin Bridge, to the South (on the right in the photo). It really helps to enlarge the photo to see how cool the view is. Just click on it, and it will open larger in a new window or tab.
